Below are some of the questions and answers you may have. Contact us if you have anything else you need to know.
Who are the Templar Pilgrimage Trust (OTJ)?
The Templar Pilgrimage Trust (OTJ), the TPT, was created over 40 years ago by members of what become the Grand Priory or Knights Templar in the Unite Kingdom. It was created to be an arms-length charity, and currently some of the Trustetes are members of the Grand Priory. We aim to have the majority of the Trustees from outwith the Grand Priory.
What kinds of Pilgrimage to you support?
We support individuals and groups to make pilgrimage to recognised Christian sites. In the past we have helped pilgrims heading to the Holy Land, Lourdes, Fatima, Assisi, Mount Athos and Walsingham. This is not an extensive list!
What is your donation maximum?
The TPT is a small funding charity, so we have to manage our resources carefully. Applicants looking for £200-£300 would be well within our funding capability, but higher amounts are considered on their merit.
What is the application process?
Applicants should contact the TPT to be sent a Google Docs form for completion. Once returned, the Trustees will consider the application at their next meeting. Trustees meet four times a year, so there may be some delay in getting back to you, as we do not process applications continuously.
